The Friday Five
OK, The Tuesday Five
The Friday Five is a meme/blog has been around for about two years. Every Friday, a list of really important Earth-shattering questions is posted on the website and hundreds of bloggers from all over the world answer the questions within their own blog. So basically, it's a blog to stimulate bloggers into blogging. Gotta love that.
And yes, I know it's Tuesday. But I liked last week's questions, so I am posting my answers even though it's not Friday.
1. What food do you like that most people hate?
Pasta Puttanesca.
2. What food do you hate that most people love?
Breakfast cereal.
3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you?
Peirce Brosnan.
4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you find attractive?
Harvey Keitel.
5. What popular trend baffles you?
Parent's reluctance to say no to their children.
Oops, guess I got a little carried away...sorry 'bout that.
Geez, I can't wait until THIS Friday's questions.

- Most people hate it because it has anchovies in it. But I don't really taste the anchovies that much (plus I use anchovy paste and not the real fishies). I love the combination of kalamata olives, capers, tomatoes, and tons of garlic. I gave a taste to a friend once, and he actually used the word "vile" to describe it!
2. What food do you hate that most people love?
Breakfast cereal.
- I force myself to eat it occasionally, but I usually would prefer to skip breakfast rather than force cold cereal down my throat. It never stays crispy, the sweetened cereals are too sweet, the unsweetened cereals taste like Styrofoam peanuts, and I can never judge the appropriate ratio of milk to cereal.
3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you?
Peirce Brosnan.
- He is just SO not my type. He looks so prissy and uses enough oil in his hair to help save OPEC.
4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you find attractive?
Harvey Keitel.
- His performance in Piano (1993, with Holly Hunter) was incredibly sexy and moving. (And his bare backside in that movie wasn't too hard to look at, either!)
5. What popular trend baffles you?
Parent's reluctance to say no to their children.
- Though perhaps this doesn't actually qualify as a "trend" anymore, as it seems to have started back in the 80's. I think too many parents feel guilty about not staying home with their children, so when they ARE home, they simply indulge their children out of guilt (or maybe it's pure exhaustion). IE, "You want to bang your fork on your plate the entire time we are at this nice restaurant? It's OK, I know you've had a frustrating day." What about MY frustrating day? Do you think I WANT to listen to your little plate-playing percussionist while I am eating my prosciutto? Come on...I'm eatin' here! And while you're at it, can you turn down the vocal volume a bit? (Yea, you, Mommy -- the one on the cell phone trying to get a babysitter for Saturday night.) Whatever happened to using "inside voices?" And, excuse the hell outta me, but I would prefer that your child NOT come see what I have on my plate, or bang into the back of my chair every four-and-a-half seconds. Besides, why would you bring a kid that age to this type of restaurant in the first place? And should he be out in the first place with a runny nose like that?
Oops, guess I got a little carried away...sorry 'bout that.
Geez, I can't wait until THIS Friday's questions.
